FIB 2010 - Music Fesitval in Benicassim, Spanish Adventure (The Beginning)

On the 9th July, I put a cheeky score on Spain to win the World Cup, my mothers family originate from Spain and they have been in strong form, the fact I was flying their on the 21st of July made this an ADDED BONUS. Being in the country, that could potentially win the wolrd cup! Cloud 9 material

Minibus to Luton Airport, Journey Begins. . .

Upon arrival in Spain (REUS airport - absolute shambles of an airport, DON'T GO THERE) we caught a late night coach to Salou, 8 euro camping pitch, Midnight dinner, cheeky shisha and a 6hour bender in the seaside resort followed, English enter the clubs for.......FREE!

General Verdict of Salou : Cheap, but very cheerful. Crazy Nightlife & a very mixed bag of people. Friendly atmosphere & Spanglish Banter

Next Morning.

Salou Train Station : Train to Benicassim :) met 2 Spanish guys en rout to the festival and some ladies from Leicster uni (fellow Beni Campers) friendly train users & air con!!!! onward bound.

Hurtlocker

Not usually into all these American war, loosely based on a true story’ / Iraqi type of films.

BUT after watching Hurtlocker, my opinion has ever so slightly changed! This film is the genuine article. Directed by a lady called Kathryn Bigelow ex wife of James Cameron ( Fellow film director that created AVATAR - similar time of release to Hurtlocker)

Although the film is now considered old’ ( 2008 time ) I have only just discovered it!! If you haven’t seen it yet… I highly recommend it. Brilliant storytelling, not to mention, a constant ‘on edge’ feeling. Unlike so many films these days, this one actually has a great ending.

The Plot in a Nutshell - Set in Iraq, filmed in Jordan the EOD (US Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal) are Forced to play a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse in the chaos of war, an elite Army bomb squad unit must come together in a city where everyone is a potential enemy and every object could be a deadly bomb.

Respect & 1 love to Wikipedia for the Plot x
